Lepanthes elegantula is a species endemic to Ecuador. In the wild this terrestrial species is found in upper montane cloud forest at 2,800-3,300 metres.
The inflorescence measures 5cm and bears many successively opening
flowers, once the plant starts flowering it can be in flower for a very
long time. The plant blooms at any time of the year.
This plant is flowering size. Grow Lepanthes elegantula on a mount, in shade, never in direct sunlight and keep it evenly moist. This plant grows well in a cold to cool greenhouse and can be grown indoors if temperatures do not exceed 24 degrees and night time temperatures are low.
