Lepanthes setifera is a species from Columbia and Ecuador. This species inhabits wet cloud forests at elevations between 1,200 and 1,600 metres. The inflorescences measure 5cm and bear several successively opening flowers, once the plant starts flowering it can be in flower for a very long time. The plant blooms at any time of the year and often when humidity is above a certain %.


This plant is flowering size. Grow Lepanthes setifera on a mount or in a small netted pot, in shade, never in direct sunlight and keep it evenly moist. This plant grows well in an intermediate to cool greenhouse and can be grown indoors if temperatures do not exceed 24 degrees and night time temperatures are low.
