This epiphytic species thrives in a range of habitats, from humid lowland forests to mountainous cloud forests, often found growing on tree branches, rocks, or even on cacti in drier areas.
Description and Key Features: Tillandsia variabilis is a versatile and adaptable air plant with slender, arching leaves that form a rosette shape. The leaves are soft and flexible, typically green or grayish-green and rarely maroon, with a slight silver sheen due to fine trichomes that help the plant absorb moisture from the air.
