Terms of Business

Ordering Plants:

  • Orders are made by using the shopping cart on the website. Orders made by email, phone or message will be summarised by invoice and plants sent after payment.

  • Plants will only be sent during reasonable weather, during extreme hot and freezing weather plants will not be sent. For cool plants we expect three consecutive days above four degrees Celsius.

  • Your order will be packaged by Orchid Botanics and sent via courier to you insulated and in boxes.

  • You make your payment securely via this website or invoice/payment link/QR code if requested.

  • Plants/orders will be sent after full payment is made and cleared.

  • Plants put on hold will remain on hold for ten calendar days until payment has cleared. Plants that have not been paid for in full after 10 days will be returned for sale.

  • Plant Passport information is placed on each product listing. CITES documents and full provenance information for each species is available upon request. CITES, is available for relevant plants imported since January 2021.

  • By completing a sale, you are accepting these terms of business.

  • We can’t ship plants outside the United Kingdom.

  • Following payment, we will send your plants within 14 days unless the weather is too hot or cold.

  • We will combine shipping costs, please message us if you need excess shipping charges refunded.

  • Register online or place an order for any of our plants.

  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.

Orchid Botanics collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your order, send your plants and manage your account.

How do we store your data?

Orchid Botanics securely stores your data securely on encrypted systems and e-commerce platforms with additional security. We use website scanners that sweep our website constantly to locate any malicious activity.

We will keep your personal data for one year. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by permanently deleting it from our e-commerce platform.

Marketing

Unless you are a customer of our private plant finding services, Orchid Botanics will not contact you for Marketing to offer you products and services without your permission. If you wish to find out when new stock arrives, or when we are giving a lecture or talk near you, please follow us on Facebook or Instagram.

The right to access – You have the right to request us for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

Prices and Discounts

  • The current price listed supersedes all previous ones.

  • Prices are in Great Britain Pounds (£) and can be subject to change at any time.

  • We offer free shipping for orders over £100, a 15% discount for orders over £500 and 25% discount for orders over £1,000. The discounts do not cover the plants purchased from our distribution network.
