Solanum evolvulifolium is an epiphytic species from Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Plants climb trunks or trail from branches in dense forest types including cloud forests at elevations between 500 and 2,500 metres. The leaves measure up to 5 cm long and 3 cm wide. Inflorescences are long are bear many flowers that each measure 1 cm across. The flowers are green, white, or pale pink.

 

This plant is flowering size, about 15-25 cm long and will be sent as a rooted cutting in a small tub with moss. Grow Solanum evolvulifolium on a cork mount or in a basket and use a sphagnum moss, perlite and fine bark mix as a media. Make sure the plant gets sufficient air movement particularly when gown in humidity above 70%; always ensure that humidity is sufficiently high and give the plant moderate shade. Grow plants wet and spray every day if on a mount. This species likes an intermediate to warm greenhouse with night low temperatures of 14-21 degrees and daytime temperatures of 23-30 degrees. Plants are not suitable for growing indoors unless growing in a basket.
