Dendrochilum arachnites is a species from the Philippines. In the wild this species grows in mossy and montane forests at elevations between 500 and 2,600 metres. Inflorescences measure 10-25 cm, and bear c30 small flowers that measures about 1 cm across. Plants usually bloom during the autumn, winter, or spring.
This is a flowering size plant and growing in a pot or mount. Grow Dendrochilum arachnites on a mount, in a pot or basket with a sphagnum moss media, with moderate to bright light, never in direct sunlight and give it a lot of water. We grow our plants sitting in a small amount of water. Plants grow well in an intermediate greenhouse and appreciate night-time temperatures of 13-17 degrees and day temperatures of 22 to 28 degrees. This species likes a distinct difference between day and night temperature and cool misty air.
