Bulbophyllum membranifolium subsp. inunctum is a species from Malaysia, Borneo, and the Philippines. In the wild this species is found in humid, damp forests between 1,000-2,300 metres. The inflorescence is short, bears a single flower that measures 10cm across. Plants bloom at any time of the year and the flowers are unscented.

 

This plant is flowering size (3-5 leaves). Bulbophyllum membranifolium subsp. inunctum on a mount or in a pot with a moss/bark mix. Grow your plant in moderate shade, never in direct sunlight and water it a lot and consistently. Grow in an intermediate or warm greenhouse and with night-time temperatures of 15 - 21 degrees and daytime temperatures of 26 to 32 degrees. This species likes a slight difference between day and night temperature. Plants are better suited for a greenhouse but will grow and potentially flower indoors in a bright location or a paludarium with lights.
