Coelogyne candoonensis is a species from Mindanao in the Philippines. In the wild this species is found as an epiphyte in mossy forest at 1,600 metres. The inflorescences bear successively opening flowers that measure 1cm across. The plant blooms at any time of the year and is grown well will remain in flower continuously.
This plant is flowering size and is growing in a pot. Grow Coelogyne candoonensis in a pot with fine bark mixed with moss or in sphagnum moss. Grow plants in moderate light, and never in direct or bright sunlight. Plants do not like to dry out and need excellent quality water all year. Plants grow well in an intermediate to warm greenhouse and appreciate night-time temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees and daytime temperatures of 24 to 30 degrees. Plants grow well indoors and will flower if given a big enough difference between day and night temperature.
