Aeschynanthus radicans is a species found in Peninsula Malaysia, Sumatra and Java. This species inhabits evergreen forests, is generally found near streams and is an epiphyte. The stems measure up to 70 cm and the flowers measure 2 cm. Plants bloom during the spring and summer.

This plant is flowering size and plants are growing in pots or on mounts. Grow Aeschynanthus radicans in a pot, basket or on a mount and use a perlite, moss and fine bark mix as a media. Make sure the plant gets sufficient air movement particularly when gown in humidity above 70%; always give plants moderate shade. Plants need to be grown in a wet and slightly dry cycle; I water this species once a week or when the potting mix starts looking dry and mounted plants get sprayed every day. This species likes an intermediate to warm greenhouse with night low temperatures of 14-18 degrees and daytime temperatures of 23-34 degrees. Plants will grow and flower indoors if cool night temperatures, and air circulation, and reasonable light are provided.
