Coelogyne odoardii is a species from Borneo. In the wild this species is an epiphyte inhabiting tree trunks in wet hill and lower montane forests at elevations between 200 and 900 metres. Inflorescences are pendant and bear up to 12 scented flowers that each measure 6-7 cm across.

This plant is flowering size and is growing in a pot. Grow Coelogyne odoardii in a pot or basket with fine bark media mixed with moss. Grow plants in moderate light, and never in direct or bright sunlight. Plants do not like to dry out completely and need excellent quality water all year. Plants grow well in a warm greenhouse and appreciate night-time temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees and daytime temperatures of 26 to 32 degrees. Plants grow well indoors and will flower if given a difference between day and night temperature, daytime warmth and sufficient light.
