Bulbophyllum fascinator is found in the Philippines, Sumatra, Borneo, and Peninsula Malaysia. This species is an epiphyte that inhabits primary montane forest at elevations below 1,000 metres. Inflorescences measure 14 cm long and produce solitary flowers, the flowers each measure 15-25 cm. This species flowers in the summer and autumn.

 

Flowering size plant in a pot or mount, tell us which you prefer. It can be mounted or grown in a basket or in a pot with moss and a medium/fine bark mix. Bulbophyllum fascinator needs to be grown in moderate light and should never be exposed to direct sunlight. Plants need abundant watering and should be kept wet at all time all year round. It is intermediate or warm growing orchid. The optimum night-time temperatures of 14°C to 22°C and daytime temperatures of 26°C to 34°C degrees. Plants are better suited for a greenhouse but will grow and potentially flower indoors in a bright location or in a terrarium/paludarium with lights.
