Bulbophyllum papulosum is from the Philippines. In the wild this species grows in humid lowland forests as an epiphyte and at elevations of up to 500 metres. Inflorescences measure 15 cm and bear 2-3 flowers that each measure 2.5 cm across. Plants bloom at any time of the year.

Plants are flowering size and growing in pots. Grow Bulbophyllum papulosum on a mount, or in a pot with a moss and medium/fine bark mix. Grow your plant in moderate light, never in direct sunlight and keep it evenly moist. Grow in an intermediate or warm greenhouse and give it night-time temperatures of 16-22 degrees and daytime temperatures of 25 to 31 degrees. Plants are better suited for a greenhouse but will grow and potentially flower indoors if given the right conditions.
